NEWS | Centre for Baptist Studies Autumn Day Conference 2020 (Online)

From our friends (Centre for Baptist Studies at Regent’s Park College, Oxford) across the pond:

In view of the ongoing health risks caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, we have decided to host the Centre for Baptist Studies autumn day conference 2020 online and on a week day (Monday 14th September).

Our previously scheduled ‘Blake and the Baptists’ day conference, which should have taken place in March 2020 has been postponed to Spring 2021, in the hope that by then it may be possible to meet face-to-face. (We have some exciting art exhibits that we would prefer people to view in person rather than remotely online.)

In the meantime, it gives me pleasure to circulate details of the autumn online conference, kindly supported by the Baptist Historical Society:

‘Communion, Covenant and Creativity An Approach to the Communion of Saints through the Arts – A Baptist Perspective’.

The day conference coincides with the publication of a book by the same title, a collaboration between Paul Fiddes, Brian Haymes and Richard Kidd.

During the day conference the authors will be discussing the theme in conversation with Myra Blyth, Elizabeth Newman and Ruth Bottoms. It promises to be an excellent event!

Please note: registration is free but essential (in order to be given joining instructions).
