Dear All,

Just a quick reminder that the Centre for Baptist Studies is delighted to be co-organising the autumn series of ‘Opening the Angus’ online seminars, to promote the contents of our Angus Library and Archive and to raise awareness of our ambitious digitization and conservation programme.

Details of the three seminars are as follows:

Thursday 22 Oct, 7.30pm. Tim Whelan

‘Animated Addresses to the Heart and Conscience’:‘Lecturing’ in the Prose Writings of the Women in the Steele Circle, 1699-1815.

Thursday 29 Oct, 7.30pm. Bianca Dang

‘Mme Cajou has… sacrificed the little she had for the work’: Haitian Women’s Influence on Missionary Activity in Haiti, 1866-1880.

Thursday 5 Nov, 7.30pm. Gale Richards

What’s Christ got to do with it? Exploring a Baptist Theological Statement on Women in Ministry.
