After 3 years of hiatus due to Covid travel restrictions, CBM (Canadian Baptist Ministries) is once again pleased to announce the 2023 Scholarship programme, Praxis – Integral Mission and the Church. This is a (nearly*) fully funded immersive learning experience at a Master’s level for Canadian Baptist students. This year’s program will take place in Kenya, East Africa, from May 5–22, 2023, and be focused on the role of the Church and faith-based organisations in addressing climate change and food insecurity.

The Praxis scholarship has an approximate value of $5,870 and includes 3-credit tuition at your school, full travel, meals and accommodation, books, insurance lectures and several site visits while in Kenya.

Requirements for acceptance into the program this year include:

• Be registered currently in a Master’s level program at one of the Canadian Baptist seminaries (McMaster, Carey, FTE or Acadia).
• Be a member in good standing of a Canadian Baptist church.
• Be able to travel internationally and have a valid passport (or able to get one within the time-frame).
• Have the recommendation of the student’s school and of a pastor or Christian leader.
