Earlier this year, the Canadian Baptist Historical Society announced an intiative to raise money in order to erect a monument for Washington Christian (pastor of the First Coloured Calvinistic Baptist Church of Toronto, 1834), on the site of his grave at the Necropolis Cemetary in Toronto.
